Dr. Wiparat De-ong is the Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), the main national funding agency for research and innovation in Thailand under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESRI) since February 2021, after working at NRCT for 30 years.
Dr. Wiparat held many other positions in NRCT such as Head of Research Promotion and Development Section, Director of Public Sector Development Division, and Director of Research Evaluation and Knowledge Management Division.
Dr. Wiparat holds a MA in History from Thammasat University and a Ph.D. in Demography from Mahidol University, Thailand.
