The Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore conducted an official visit to observe the groundbreaking inventions and innovations by Thai inventors and researchers at the "WorldInvent Singapore 22+23" event.

On September 6, 2023, His Excellency the Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore visited the inventions and innovations of Thai inventors and researchers at the "WorldInvent Singapore 22+23" event. Mr. Chutintorn Gongsakdi, the Thai Ambassador to Singapore, honored the occasion with his presence and encouraged Thai inventors and researchers who participated in the competition at "WorldInvent Singapore 22+23" in the Republic of Singapore. Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand, extended a warm welcome.

The participation of Thai inventors and researchers in international invention and innovation competitions is organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation. The NRCT acts as the Exclusive Agency, continuously working to promote and support the development of research and innovation personnel, providing them with opportunities to participate and exchange experiences. This exposure allows Thai inventors and researchers to gain insights into foreign inventions and innovations, which can be applied to benefit Thailand's research and innovation challenges.

During this occasion, Mr. Chutintorn Gongsakdi, the Thai Ambassador to Singapore, and Dr. Wiparat De-ong, the Director of the National Research Council, engaged in discussions to foster collaboration between Thailand and Singapore in the fields of research and innovation. The Singaporean government has a policy to propel Singaporean startups to compete globally through initiatives like the Global Innovation Alliance (GIA), which establishes networks between Singapore and international innovation ecosystems. Therefore, if Thai inventors and researchers see opportunities to expand their businesses or want to learn about startup expansion concepts abroad, traveling to Singapore and participating in international competitions like WoSG is another avenue to access learning opportunities and engage in discussions with inventors and researchers from various countries.
