NRCT Participates in the 25th AASSREC Biennial General Conference in Seoul, South Korea

 

          Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), assigned Miss Sattakamol Kiatipanich, Director of Division of Research and Innovation Funding Management 2, and Miss Sukanya A-meen, Director of Mission of Research-based Policy, as representatives of the NRCT to participate in the General Conference of the Association of Asian Social Science Research Councils (AASSREC) held on June 14-15, 2023, at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. This year marked the 25th edition of the conference under the theme "Social Sciences in Asia: Past, Present, and Future" and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of AASSREC. The conference was hosted by the Korean Social Science Research Council (KOSSREC) and the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences in Korea (NRC). Representatives from 14 member organizations from the Asian-Pacific region participated in the conference, including:

          - National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT)

          - Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia

          - Social Science Research Council (SSRC), Bangladesh

          - Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), China

          - Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), India

          - Iranian Sociological Association, Iran

          - Science Council of Japan (SCJ), Japan

          - Korean Social Science Research Council (KOSSREC), South Korea

          - Malaysian Social Science Association (PSSM), Malaysia

          - Royal Society Te Apārangi, New Zealand

          - Philippine Social Science Council (PSSC), the Philippines

          - National Science Foundation (NSF), Sri Lanka

          - Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), Vietnam

          Additionally, Academia Sinica from Taiwan, China, which is an associate member of AASSREC and numerous scholars and researchers from various countries also participated, with a total of over 150 participants.
