The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) to Invention Expo (JDIE) 2023

The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, led a team of Thai inventors and researchers to participate in the Japan Design, Idea, and Invention Expo (JDIE) 2023 held in Tokyo, Japan, from July 7th to 8th, 2023.
JDIE 2023 is an international competition and exhibition for inventions organized by the World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA) in collaboration with Chizai Corporation from Japan. The event featured over 300 inventions from more than 20 countries. NRCT was designated as the Exclusive Agency by WIIPA to screen and showcase Thai inventions and innovations at JDIE 2023.
On the first day of the event, Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), highlighted the role of NRCT, operating under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, in promoting and supporting Thai inventions and innovations on the international stage. This participation provides opportunities for Thai inventors and researchers to network and learn about international technologies, benefiting the development of inventions and innovations in Thailand.
In 2023, NRCT brought together over 100 Thai inventors and researchers to present their works at JDIE 2023 in various categories, including:

• I.C.T and Multimedia
• Industrial Design
• Machines and Equipment
• Printing and Packaging Design
