NRCT participates in the discussions on challenging research issues during the Annual Meeting of Global Research Council (GRC) 2023 held in the Hague, Netherlands.

          Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) and a member of the Governing Board of Global Research Council (GRC), participated in the Annual Meeting of GRC 2023 from 29th May to 1st June 2023 in the Hague, Netherlands. This year marked the 11th edition of the GRC Annual Meeting, co-hosted by the Dutch Research Council (NWO) of the Netherlands and the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) of Brazil, under the main themes of "Rewards and Recognition" and "Climate Change and Climate Change Initiative." The meeting brought together executives and representatives from research funding agencies across different regions worldwide, totaling 63 countries from Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa.

          The main annual meeting of GRC took place on 31st May and 1st June 2023 at the Peace Palace. It was honored by Dr. Robbert Dijkgraaf, the Minister of Education, Culture, and Science in the Netherlands, who delivered the opening remarks, along with welcoming remarks from Prof. Katja Becker, the President of the German Research Foundation (DFG) and Chair of the GRC Governing Board, Prof. Marcel Levi, the President of the Dutch Research Council (NWO), and Prof. Marco Antonio Zago, the President of the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) of Brazil, the meeting hosts.
